The Team
The role sits within the New Verticals business unit on our Global Strategy, Product and Commercial team, which reports into the VP of Global Grocery & Retail and the Deliveroo COO. Amongst other things, this team is responsible for all Grocery and Retail integrations across all markets. The culture of the team is informal, fast-paced and entrepreneurial.
The Role
As a Technical Integrations Manager at Deliveroo, you will be the driving force behind the successful integration of our systems with those of our partners. From understanding partner requirements, through to launch planning, implementation and testing, you will own the end-to-end integration lifecycle. This involves leading discovery calls, conducting effective project kickoffs, and establishing the essential technical and collaborative foundations for each integration. Your expertise in defining project milestones and clear, measurable go-live criteria will directly determine the speed and success of each partnership integration, contributing significantly to Deliveroo's growth and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Partner Communication & Relationship Management: Serve as the primary technical point of contact for our integration partners, building strong, lasting relationships based on clear communication and mutual understanding. You will expertly manage partner expectations throughout the integration process, ensuring alignment and fostering a collaborative environment that drives project success.
Internal Communication & Transparency: Maintain seamless and transparent communication channels with all internal teams inc., Product, Engineering, Account Management. You will provide regular, clear updates on project progress, key achievements, potential roadblocks, and upcoming milestones, ensuring everyone is informed and aligned.
Proactive Risk Management & Issue Resolution: Adopt a forward-thinking approach to identify potential technical or process challenges before they impact project timelines. You will develop robust contingency plans, proactively address issues, and manage escalations effectively to mitigate risks and ensure smooth, timely integrations.
Process Optimisation & Continuous Improvement: Champion a culture of continuous learning and improvement within the integration process. You will actively identify opportunities to enhance efficiency, streamline workflows, and reduce integration times based on lessons learned from completed projects. You will collaborate with Integrations leads and Product / Engineering colleagues to implement necessary changes and best practices across the organisation.

Technical Acumen & Solutions-Oriented Problem Solver: Possess a strong grasp of technical concepts relevant to system integrations, particularly concerning APIs. You are adept at diagnosing and resolving technical issues, collaborating effectively with technical teams to find practical and robust solutions.
Exceptional Communicator & Skilled Relationship Builder: Articulate complex technical information clearly and concisely to diverse audiences, including those without a technical background. You have a proven ability to build rapport and establish strong working relationships with both external partners and internal colleagues at all levels, fostering trust and collaboration.
Highly Organised & Driven to Deliver: Demonstrate excellent organisational skills and the ability to expertly manage multiple technical integration projects simultaneously in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. You are meticulous in tracking progress against defined milestones and possess a strong drive to achieve successful, on-time project completion.
Requirements
Minimum of 4+ years of experience in a technical role with significant exposure to technical integrations and API-based solutions.
Demonstrated experience managing direct interactions and building relationships with external clients or partners.
A positive, proactive, and resilient approach to challenges, with a steadfast commitment to delivering high-quality technical work.
Proven ability in technical project coordination, planning, and execution, showcasing strong organisational skills.
A strong sense of ownership and the ability to independently drive tasks and projects forward, seeking guidance when necessary.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, with the ability to convey technical information clearly.
Proficient in using project management and organisational tools, with a focus on managing technology-centric projects.
Proven ability to effectively manage stakeholders and cultivate productive working relationships across different teams and organisations.
Capacity to effectively support and manage multiple concurrent integration projects in a demanding and evolving environment.
