About the role
Our Creative Studio at Deliveroo is responsible for developing creative campaigns that play out across a number of global markets. You’ll be a valued member of our core team. We are looking for a Copywriter whose focus will be to deliver creative copy across a breadth of different media touch points, including; OOH, CRM, in-app and digital, radio and social advertising.
Your creative output will be based on strategic briefs and deliver strong conceptual thinking using customer insights. You’ll be a guardian of the Deliveroo brand’s tone of voice, ensuring it is maintained throughout all the copy you work on. You’ll be able to harness our brand tone of voice to write conceptually strong copy based on insights, as well as to craft strong conversion-driving copy to drive sales.
We’re also looking for someone who embraces emerging AI technologies as part of the modern creative process — combining strong creative judgement with AI-enabled workflows to help scale high-quality, on-brand copy across channels and markets. Please note, this role is a 12 month fixed term contract.
What you'll be doing
Develop and execute copy for a variety of channels, including OOH, digital, social, in-app, motion and CRM across multiple projects.
Collaborate closely with our design and wider project teams to concept and execute creative copy.
Collaborate with strategists and wider project teams to understand target audiences, helping develop great Tone of Voice-led copy from key messaging through to campaign execution.
Ensure all copy outputs are aligned with our Deliveroo brand tone of voice, maintaining quality and consistency across all assets.
Present strategy-aligned creative concepts to internal stakeholders.
Work to deadlines and effectively manage your workload, collaborating with project managers and studio team peers to meet key project milestones.
Assist senior copywriters and AI specialists with test and refine prompts, reusable workflows for custom GPTs to improve copy quality, consistency, efficiency and campaign performance.
Requirements
A copywriter with a real love for words, conceptual thinking and creative problem solving.
4+ years of experience in an in-house or agency creative department.
A strong creative portfolio demonstrating an understanding of brand-building copy, storytelling and creative thinking through written communication.
Varied experience showing you can adapt copy across a range of channels and audiences.
Ability to flex and adapt across a variety of projects, both big and small.
Exceptional presentation skills, with proven experience communicating with stakeholders and confidently navigating feedback.
Excellent time management and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
A positive attitude and willingness to collaborate, learn and adapt within a fast-growing business.
Driven to inject insight and creativity into even the most functional or conversion-focused copy spaces.
Experience using AI-powered creative and copywriting tools (e.g. ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini or equivalent).
An understanding of prompt writing for creative copy outputs.
Great to Have
Experience working with retail or food brands.
Experience working with tech or app-based brands.
Experience working with Google Workspace including Slides and Docs.
Experience using Asana.
A proactive approach to experimenting with emerging creative technologies and evolving ways of working.
