The team
As Deliveroo continues to scale, we become a major revenue channel for restaurants - aside from providing best-in-class support, we are restaurant consultants that use data-driven insight and industry knowledge to help our partner restaurants’ grow. Our account management team owns and manages restaurant relationships. The Account Managers are a passionate, dynamic group of team players who work well together and cross-functionally with other departments, and of course, they’re fun, personable, and great at building exceptional relationships.
Role Overview
As a Mid Market Team Lead, you will lead and develop a team of account managers responsible for managing Mid Market partners, including local gems and national chains.
Your primary focus will be to support your team, set clear priorities, and define the growth strategy for this restaurant segment. You will work closely with account managers on their partner portfolios, getting directly involved with top or complex partners’ commercial negotiations or where needed, and ensuring partners are consistently meeting performance targets. This role requires strong people leadership, strategic thinking, and the ability to balance hands-on support with scalable impact.
What You Will Be Doing
Manage, coach, and develop a team of Account Managers managing restaurant partners
Drive adoption and sell Deliveroo tools and features to partners
Set clear goals, priorities, and performance expectations for the team
Define and own the growth strategy for your restaurant segment
Get directly involved with top tier or complex partners when required
Drive consistent operational excellence through performance reviews
Identify risks, challenges, and opportunities across the segment and act early
Collaborate cross functionally to remove blockers and improve partner outcomes
Scale best practices, tools, and ways of working across the team
What Skills You Will Need
5+ years in a commercial role, with 3+ years of proven experience managing a complex team
Strong understanding of restaurant marketplace dynamics and performance drivers
Commercial mindset with the ability to guide negotiations and growth discussions
Data driven approach to performance management and decision making
Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
Ability to coach, influence, and support others rather than owning all execution
Comfortable operating in fast paced, changing environments with high ownership
