About the role
As Marketing Manager, Promotion and Value you will directly report to the Senior Marketing Manager, Restaurant and Grocery. You will work closely with marketing and commercial teams to define the right promotional calendar based on business objectives to deliver great value to customers at key moments, focus on how we can drive new customers to join Deliveroo and stay, as well as the right programmes we should have in place to grow their frequency and retention across the lifecycle. You will also be responsible for identifying future growth opportunities to drive customer behavioural change, through experimentation within our promotions, taking into account business priorities, past performance of promotions and market trends.
You will work cross-functionally across local, global, commercial, finance, tech and data science teams to build the right plan and define processes that improve our customer experience as well as identify improvements in the way that promotions are executed at Deliveroo.
What you'll be doing
Champion the Customer voice in the promotions space, working closely with Insights and Care teams to stay close to Customer needs and expectations when it comes to great value.
Own the Italy promotional calendar in collaboration with the rest of the marketing team and the commercial team
Own the new customer acquisition and lifecycle calendar, partnering closely with central teams, to drive behaviours at key moments in the life cycle and ensuring optimal allocation of budget across programmes to drive impact and efficiency
Lead the execution on our Promo Campaigns, across key channels such as CRM and In app merchandising, ensuring best in class execution and relevant communication
Lead our Test and Learn agenda for the full team and lead prioritisation with Central teams.
Align promotional plans between different central and local marketing teams to ensure we have the right technical, reporting and targeting foundations in place for the plan
Own reporting on campaign performance and post campaign analysis to understand metrics of success and identifying improvement areas and opportunities to experiment
Keep on top of competitor trends and activity to strengthen plans
Requirements
4-5 years experience in Marketing or Commercial role, ideally working with value / promotional campaigns
Preferred Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field
Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
Experience presenting ideas and recommendations to senior leadership to gain buy in
You’re both analytical & commercial and you enjoy interpreting data to develop insight/consumer-led marketing strategy. Comfortable with analytical tools like excel.
You have strong interpersonal skills and can manage multiple cross-departmental stakeholders; confident communicating at all levels
Ability to adapt and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to identifying opportunities for improvement.
You have a self-starter attitude and you’re able to thrive in a fast-paced matrixed organisation with constant change.
You have a proven track record in making things happen - delivering results quickly and efficiently.
