Deliveroo ODG
Deliveroo ODG is a key part of Deliveroo’s speedy grocery delivery service. Our mission is to deliver groceries to customers around the world in as little as 15 minutes - from the weekly shop to a last-minute dinner party or a late-night snack. Working with trusted grocers, ODC promises to bring customers the very best products with speed and accuracy.
The team behind Deliveroo ODG are building partnerships with key grocery partners across the UAE to launch a combination of picker and non-picker sites. Picker sites are sites where all Deliveroo orders are fulfilled by experts who have been specially trained to manage the operations efficiently as well as pick and pack orders in record time.

The Role
The Team Leader holds a pivotal role in optimizing operational efficiency and maintaining high performance standards across their designated cluster of five to six sites. As a Team Leader you’ll be responsible to directly impact operational KPIs such as picking speed & accuracy. You’ll be responsible to upskill and manage the performance of a team of Site Associates & Senior Site Associates in order to deliver results across your sites.
Key responsibilities include:
Performance Tracking: Team Leaders are responsible for tracking the performance metrics of all associates operating within their assigned sites. This involves monitoring key indicators such as picking accuracy, speed, order fulfillment rates, and adherence to SOPs. By leveraging data and analytical tools, they identify trends, pinpoint areas of concern, and recognize high-achieving individuals.
Performance Management: Based on the performance tracking data, Team Leaders actively engage in performance management to drive results. This encompasses conducting regular one-on-one feedback sessions, setting clear performance goals, providing constructive criticism, and developing tailored improvement plans for underperforming team members They are also responsible for acknowledging and rewarding strong performance, fostering a positive and motivating work environment.
Audits and Site Visits: To ensure compliance with operational standards and to identify potential bottlenecks or areas for improvement, Team Leaders regularly conduct comprehensive audits and site visits to each of their assigned locations, identifying training needs, and ensuring consistency across all sites.
Reporting & Stakeholder Management: The Team Leader will be the main point of contact for store management and should be able to communicate across various levels & stakeholders. This role is responsible for weekly and monthly reporting to track and present performance, as well as clearly communicating bridges & action plans to address performance gaps.
Requirements
Track record of strong performance in a grocery or dark store environment
Experience managing a team of pickers or similar roles
Detailed oriented
Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
Experience performance management and auditing grocery environments
Good communication skills and a good proficiency in both written and spoken English
