The Site Operations team plays a critical role in this transformation. We work with cross-functional groups including Network, AV, Security, and Service Desk, supporting employees, managing workplace technology, and driving improvements across our tools and processes.
As a junior in this team, you’ll gain valuable, hands-on IT and operations experience while studying toward your qualification. You’ll be supported by experienced colleagues and mentors, with structured learning opportunities and dedicated time (study break) to complete your coursework.
About the Role
We are seeking a motivated Junior Site Operations Specialist who is eager to learn and develop technical and operational skills in a fast-paced, innovative environment.
This role is based in our London office, with travel to Deliveroo’s HOP and Editions sites. You’ll work closely with experienced Site Operations Specialists and gain exposure to IT support, asset management, and site operations.
You’ll report to the Senior Platform Product Manager and will be supported through mentoring, on-the-job training, and external study time.
What You’ll Be Doing
Learning & Development
Work alongside senior colleagues to develop knowledge in IT support, site operations, and workplace tooling.
Use your apprenticeship learning to apply theory in real-world scenarios.
Attend training and complete coursework, with one day per week dedicated to study.
Technical & Operational Support
Assist in supporting Deliveroo employees with hardware and software issues.
Learn how to configure and deploy laptops and mobile devices, using automation to streamline processes
Support asset lifecycle management, including:
Reverse logistics: coordinating returns of devices, ensuring correct tracking, wiping and redistribution.
E-waste handling: learning best practices for secure and sustainable disposal of IT equipment, in line with compliance and environmental standards.
Customer Experience
Observe and develop skills in delivering high-quality, user-focused support.
Learn how to communicate technical solutions clearly and empathetically to users.
Help maintain and update IT documentation for the internal Knowledge Base.
Site Operations
Support the team in identifying and resolving operational friction points.
Gain exposure to tools such as JAMF, Intune, and device management systems.
Assist in planning and delivering product-led initiatives at Deliveroo sites.
HOP & Editions Site Support
Accompany senior team members on visits to HOP and Editions sites.
Learn how IT infrastructure is set up and maintained across multiple locations.
Support local hardware installs, site initiatives, and vendor management.
Requirements
We’re not expecting you to come with lots of prior experience – this is a learning role. What’s important is your curiosity, willingness to learn, and enthusiasm for technology and customer service.
Strong interest in IT, technology, and operations.
Good problem-solving skills with a proactive attitude.
Confident communicator who is eager to learn from others.
Organised and able to manage time between work and study.
Flexible and able to travel when required.
Office-based role (with one day study break per week).
