Global Head of Recruitment Operations
We are looking for a Global Head of Recruitment Operations to lead recruitment operations globally for Deliveroo (across more than 9 countries). The role will sit in the Recruiting Team in our HQ office in London and will lead the Global Recruitment Operations team (3 Direct reports, 16 FTE in total).
You’ll be responsible for the operational backbone of recruitment globally, owning the programmes and processes that help us be a tech-led, efficient and effective recruitment team.
As a strategic partner in the company, you’ll help tell the recruitment story through data, and enable others to unblock bottlenecks and identify new opportunities. You’ll build and lead the team that ensures consistency of delivery and consistency of experience, and will spearhead the efforts to help everyone at Deliveroo contribute to recruitment.
As a team, one of our most ambitious strategic priorities is driving a global recruitment tech transformation. We’re embedding AI into the hiring lifecycle—from intelligent candidate screening to structured, data-informed interviews—to create a more predictive, fair, and scalable process. This role will be instrumental in shaping and operationalising the future of talent acquisition, using automation and analytics to unlock efficiency, elevate experience, and set a new standard for operational excellence
Your responsibilities
Lead the recruitment operations team globally, including recruitment coordinators, programme managers, and employer branding.
Leverage data to identify opportunities to optimise hiring, and implement solutions that help the team recruit more effectively and support the team’s efficiency.
Lead the design and global rollout of recruitment technology initiatives, leveraging AI, automation, and data analytics to streamline hiring processes, enhance candidate and stakeholder experience, and drive scalable operational excellence
Own and iterate on all recruiting programs globally and deliver seamless change management.
Own enablement, learning and development for the recruitment team, including training, onboarding and knowledge management.
Own enablement for the wider business, establishing and developing the best practices, resources and processes that enable high quality hiring and maintains Deliveroo’s exceptionally high talent bar.
Drive our employer brand strategy across all markets.
Develop and iterate a global, standardised and evidence-based evaluation and selection framework for making good hiring decisions.
Prioritise and drive experiments and innovative programmes that impact our goals across all areas of recruitment, including areas such as diversity, our talent brand and awareness.
What you’ll need
Significant experience in a recruitment and/or operational effectiveness leadership role in tech-led companies.
A strong player/coach manager, with at least 5 years of experience in a people management role.
Proven experience leading recruitment technology transformation, including the adoption of AI-driven tools, automation, or interview intelligence platforms to improve hiring efficiency and scalability.
Demonstrated ability to lead change management initiatives across global recruitment functions, with experience redesigning processes, team structures, or operating models to enable tech-enabled scale and agility.
Experience partnering with employer brand or marketing teams to shape and amplify a compelling global EVP, ensuring recruitment strategies reflect and enhance brand positioning across diverse markets.
Strong written and oral communication skills, with an eye for detail and a passion for presenting data and information in clear, compelling ways.
Exceptionally strong project and programme management skills.
