Finance and Strategy Analyst - Italy
Join us in our mission to transform the way people shop and eat, where impact, innovation, and growth drive everything we do. Our Finance & Strategy team is the analytical engine of Deliveroo—shaping the commercial direction of the business and ensuring we hit our ambitious financial targets. We help Deliveroo make more effective decisions by understanding the drivers of our business and turning data into long-term company value.
We’re looking for a Finance and Strategy Analyst to join our team in Milan. Reporting to the FP&A Manager, you will be a trusted partner to local leadership, driving the forecasting process and providing the insights needed to fuel Deliveroo’s growth across Italy.
What You’ll Be Doing
You will play a critical role in our "engine room," ensuring our financial planning is precise and our strategic initiatives are backed by rigorous data.
Financial Planning & Forecasting: Drive the end-to-end forecasting process for the Italian market. You will collaborate across all functions to ensure forecasts are exhaustive and accurate, supporting both annual budgeting and long-term strategic cycles.
Strategic Financial Analysis: Deliver in-depth business analysis to the Country Leadership team. You won't just report the numbers; you will explain performance versus targets and provide the "why" behind P&L trends.
Cross-Functional Business Partnering: Act as a bridge between Finance and our Commercial, Operations, and Marketing teams. You will link financial outcomes to operational drivers, helping teams understand the ROI of their initiatives.
Operational Excellence: Build and refine the tools we use for reporting and analysis. You’ll be responsible for driving efficiency through automation and ensuring total data integrity.
Global Collaboration: Work closely with our HQ Finance & Strategy teams in London to execute company-wide projects and align local performance with global objectives.
Insight Delivery: Work with the FP&A Manager to produce clear, concise analysis for the Italy management team and the Group CFO.
What You’ll Need to Thrive
Our ideal candidate is a highly analytical professional who thrives in high-growth, technology-driven environments:
Experience: 2–3 years of proven FP&A experience in an international, fast-paced environment (e.g., Tech, FMCG, or Retail).
Technical Mastery: Advanced Excel and/or G-Suite skills are essential. You should have hands-on experience in financial modeling and reporting automation.
Data Fluency: A critical thinker comfortable working with large datasets and turning complex information into actionable insights for senior management.
Process Knowledge: Solid understanding of P&L management, expense tracking (POs, marketing spend), and variance analysis.
Communication: Professional fluency in Italian and English is required. You must be able to present findings clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Mindset: Adaptable and proactive, with the ability to manage tight deadlines and multiple priorities in a dynamic business landscape.
Why Join Us?
