About the team:
This role sits in the ED&I team, part of the wider People team. We are a small team with the potential for large impact, looking for a pragmatic, evidence-led ED&I specialist with a proven track record of demonstrable impact, to help guide our strategy through intentional re-evaluation and growth. This is a chance to build an impactful and holistic DEI approach from the ground up, driving authentic change.
About the role:
You will act as a leading ED&I strategist and business partner across Deliveroo, globally. You’ll be instrumental in helping to create and drive the Equity, Diversity and Inclusion vision and strategy, and will be responsible for significant roadmap items that apply DEI to critical aspects of the employee experience.
This is both a strategic and hands-on role, offering an opportunity to drive meaningful, authentic change in a complex and evolving business environment. You’ll work in collaboration with multiple partners and stakeholders, including HR Business Partners, Communications, Culture & EVP and leaders in the business.
What you'll be doing:
Co-create, evolve, and drive the overall DEI strategy and roadmap, aligned closely with our business objectives and people strategy
Translate strategic goals into actionable programs of work and initiatives across the employee lifecycle
Manage and lead key DEI projects, ensuring timely execution, effective communication, and measurable outcomes
Act as a trusted advisor and thought partner to HR Business Partners, senior people managers, and cross-functional teams, embedding ED&I principles and actions
Track, report and provide compelling narratives, meaningful insights and actionable recommendations on key DEI metrics and KPIs, to relevant stakeholders, partners and relevant third parties
Ensure all ED&I initiatives and HR policies comply with local legislation and Deliveroo’s best practices
Advise on equitable policies and processes related to hiring, promotion, performance management, reasonable adjustments, and flexible working.
Stay abreast of ED&I trends, research, and regulatory changes in the UK and global tech industry.
Requirements:
Due to the specialised nature of the role, 5+ years of experience in a dedicated Equity, Diversity & Inclusion roles that involves designing, implementing, evaluating and iterating on impactful and sustainable DEI strategies
Proven experience of business partnering and influencing skills with senior stakeholders, capable of building trust and consistently driving change
To thrive in this role, you’ll have demonstrable experience of success in a data-orientated organisation, partnering with teams and leaders
A history of co-creating strategies that align with business needs, and an evidence-based approach
Experience of translating complex concepts into actionable plans, communications and measurable results
Experience of consistent data analysis and storytelling, using insights to inform strategy and demonstrate ROI
Direct experience - and a strong understanding of - UK employment law, the UK Equality Act 2010 and global best practices related to ED&I
Experience in the tech industry (preferred, but not essential if significant transferable skills exist).
