About the role
The Director of Commercial Strategy and Enablement, Advertising, will serve as the senior commercial partner to the Vice President of Advertising. This role will shape and deliver the transformation of Deliveroo Advertising into a scaled media business. You will lead the global commercial strategy and enablement that drives revenue growth, product market fit, and partner value across merchants, brands, and non-endemic advertisers.
What you'll be doing
Translating client and partner goals into platform solutions and using a data-informed approach to deepen relationships with strategic brands and agencies.
Setting the three-year commercial plan and the annual operating plan across markets and sub-verticals.
Building the global go-to-market narrative, segmentation, message house, and plays, while empowering sales teams with the necessary tools, cases, and training.
Acting as the voice of the market to product and science, prioritizing features and formats that unlock revenue, improve yield, and drive measurable outcomes.
Owning the global monetization strategy, including pricing, packaging, and discount guardrails, and defining success metrics and frameworks.
Working closely with product, engineering, data science, marketing, and legal teams to align priorities and remove blockers.
Ensuring best-in-class planning, activation, optimization, and post-campaign insights for strategic programs.
Owning the global go-to-market playbook, providing a scalable structure that aligns with sales teams and product vision.
Requirements
Over twelve years of experience in digital advertising across platforms, publishers, or agencies, with a track record of scaling advertising businesses within larger companies.
Proven ability to design and deliver commercial models in complex, high-growth environments.
Strong knowledge of brand and performance solutions and hands-on experience positioning and selling to senior client and agency stakeholders.
Experience leading inclusive, high-performing teams with clear frameworks and operational discipline.
Exceptional stakeholder and client management skills, with credibility at the C-level.
Structured problem-solving abilities and commercial modeling skills, with the ability to turn insights into scalable growth strategies.
International experience leading multi-market initiatives and adapting to regional nuances.
Clear and confident communication skills, able to simplify complex ideas and build trust.
