SITE OPERATIONS AT DELIVEROO

Hi, we’re the Site Operations team at Deliveroo. We run two key parts of the business—HOP, our rapid grocery delivery service, and Editions, our network of delivery-only kitchens.

With sites across the UK and beyond, we’re always looking for people who thrive in fast-paced, hands-on environments. If you’ve got experience in hospitality or retail or you’re ready to dive into something new, this could be the team for you.

At Deliveroo, our Site Operations team is reshaping how people shop and eat, making it faster, simpler, and more accessible.

Craving your favourite restaurant but it’s not nearby? That’s where Editions comes in. We host restaurant partners in our delivery-only kitchens, helping them serve up their dishes to customers in places they don’t have a physical location.

Need groceries but can’t get out? HOP has you covered. We deliver everyday essentials at lightning speed, often in the same time it takes for a takeaway to arrive.

HOP

If you’ve worked in retail or grocery before, you’ll feel right at home in our HOP sites. These are our rapid delivery hubs, fast-moving, tightly run spaces that feel more like a stockroom or a mini-warehouse than a shop floor.

You’ll be part of a close-knit team that keeps shelves stocked, orders flowing, and customers happy. It’s hands-on work with real impact. What you do here directly affects how quickly people get their groceries. Expect a fast pace, clear routines, and plenty of support when things get busy.

Editions

Think of our Editions sites as high-energy kitchens meets clever logistics. You’ll be part of a team that powers our dark kitchens, purpose-built spaces where restaurant partners cook for delivery only.

It’s a blend of kitchen hustle and back-of-house organisation, ideal for people from hospitality or retail who thrive in structured chaos. The work’s physical, the shifts fly by, and no two days feel quite the same. If you love the buzz of a service environment but want to be part of something more behind-the-scenes, this could be your spot.

Roles within our team

Site Associate

You’ll be at the heart of daily operations—keeping things running smoothly and efficiently.

HOP: Pick and pack grocery orders, restock fridges, and keep the site clean and organised.

Editions: Support kitchen operations by cleaning, helping with order dispatch, washing up, and carrying out site checks like fridge temperature monitoring.

Team Leader

You’ll lead by example—staying hands-on while guiding your team and supporting smooth day-to-day performance.

  • Supervise Site Associates and step in where needed
  • Monitor KPIs and support site goals
  • Be the go-to person when the Site Manager is away

Site Manager

You’re in charge of the full site operation—setting the tone, keeping things running, and making sure nothing falls through the cracks.

  • Lead the site team and ensure smooth daily operations
  • Open and close the site, manage rotas and shift coverage
  • Own KPIs, health & safety, and compliance
  • Act as the main contact for partners and external suppliers

Multi-Site Manager

You’ll oversee multiple sites across your patch—driving consistency, performance, and team development.

  • Manage and support Site Managers across 2–3 locations
  • Lead on recruitment and workforce planning
  • Own budget control, cost management, and performance tracking
  • Be the key link between central teams and your sites

Over the past four years at Deliveroo, I’ve had a front-row seat to the company’s amazing evolution. A highlight of this journey has been being part of the early stages of HOP, where I got the opportunity to play a key role in developing the operational model. What I love most about my role in Site Operations is being at the heart of our marketplace, connecting with our riders, partners and customers. It’s an incredibly rewarding mix of setting the strategic direction for the Editions teams while also having the freedom to jump in and tackle problems with speed.
