The team
The UAE is one of our most mature markets within the Middle East region. Within Deliveroo, the functions include commercial, operations and marketing, and teams in the UAE partner closely with global functions such as product, technology and consumer to deliver results for our customers. The Supply team sits within Rider Operations and is responsible for the availability and reliability of our rider supply base for the UAE market. This includes rider pipeline management, rider onboarding and compliance, agency partnerships, and subsequent management.
The role
Operating at scale in a hyper-competitive, hyper-growth environment is no mean feat. As such, you'll be faced with some of the most exciting problems across the food tech space. Reporting to the Supply Manager, UAE, you’ll have a key role in ensuring the success of the logistics network in our UAE market. This centers around ensuring that we always have the right number of riders on the road that are in compliance with local regulations & Deliveroo standards, partnering with high-performing & compliant fleet partners, and creating scalable processes to ensure best-in-class service excellence. You’ll work closely with other members of the UAE rider operations teams, as well as wider teams within regional operations, to ensure the best possible outcomes for our riders, restaurants, and customers
What you’ll be doing
Lead the rider onboarding cycle in the UAE and ensure supply targets in all cities are achieved
Design, build, and maintain the relevant tools to assess rider compliance across the markets and conduct right-to-work sweeps periodically to eliminate fraud
Assist in the manpower supply vendor onboarding, evaluation, and document collection, and maintain a healthy pipeline of supply across the year
Ensure vendors are compliant with UAE regulations and company standards, including on-time rider salaries and ethical practices
Manage a set of vendors in the UAE and conduct performance management, along with providing support and ensuring compliance
Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency of rider onboarding, documentation management, and performance management
Provide insightful dashboards and reporting mechanisms on rider onboarding, churn and supply management in the UAE
Cross-collaborate with other departments on rider and vendor operations and projects aimed at improving rider performance and optimizing cost
Stay updated on regulatory changes and communicate requirements to vendors
Requirements
University degree and minimum 3 years of work experience in a fast-paced environment in an operations role
Expert in Data Analysis tools like Google Sheets and Excel with proficiency in Business
Intelligence tools, including Looker, Tableau, or Power BI.
Communicates ideas in a clear and concise manner both verbally and in written format with good public speaking and presentation skills
Demonstrate business acumen in Last Mile Operations and aptitude to think and execute strategically
Strong work ethic alongside an ability to tackle and bounce back from complex challenges and issues
Intellectually curious, thoughtful, and comfortable questioning the status quo
