The Role
As an Associate Vendor Manager at Deliveroo, you will play a crucial role in managing and developing relationships with our vendor partners. Reporting directly to the Senior Vendor Manager, UK, you will ensure the smooth operation of our vendor network, with operational success, menu management, merchandising and in-app fidelity as your top priorities. The role will also offer the opportunity to work on longer-term strategic initiatives within the wider HOP team, with opportunities to interact with multiple stakeholders and teams.
What you’ll be doing
- Day-to-day management of several vendors including the resolution of operational issues, cost price negotiation, marketing/merchandising/discounting funding, joint performance reviews and joint business planning
- Manage the Hop menu including imagery, product descriptions and uploads
- Support the resolution of menu issues, working closely with the Product team
- Manage the in-menu merchandising of Hop products to drive sales and business growth
- Product selection, pricing and promotional selection for your vendor(s)
- Drive data analysis on vendor and product performance including building dashboards
- Report on the performance of your vendor(s)
- Support the Vendor Managers to develop new commercial partnerships
- Working with DME to implement in-app campaigns and sampling initiatives
- New vendor set-up and processing.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, or a related field.
- Previous experience in vendor management, account management, exec work or a similar role within the food delivery or hospitality industry is preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- 1-3 years experience ideally required
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and make strategic recommendations.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
