Software Asset & Configuration Management Lead

About The Team

The Deliveroo Enterprise Technology team conceives, designs, builds and sustains the IT services powering Deliveroo’s internal teams globally, as we transform the way customers eat. We continually drive service improvements and love to automate everything we can on our journey towards customer delight.

The Role

As the SACM Lead, you will set the strategy, roadmaps and delivery plans associated with the following capabilities: IT Asset Management, CMDB, APM & Data Insights. You will provide team leadership and contribute across Enterprise Technology as a thought leader in this space. You will manage a complex stakeholder map to ensure all of these capabilities are adopted and delivered at pace.  We embrace the cloud and don’t run data centres. Software is mainly SaaS-based including Google products, Atlassian, and Slack so you will need an understanding of these capabilities in this context.

This is a hybrid role requiring 3 days a week in our Cannon Street office. You will report into the Head of Service Management.

What You'll Do:

  • Set the strategy, vision and roadmap for IT Asset Management, CMDB, APM  & Data Insights, ensuring long-term success.
  • Provide team leadership and drive engagement across the teams and contribute to the wider Enterprise Technology Leadership Team.
  • As a thought leader, share a position on optimising the purchase, deployment, maintenance, utilisation, and disposal of software applications within Deliveroo.
  • Take ownership of the programme of improvement work to mature these capabilities and deliver incremental improvements that add value to the organisation.
  • Act as an escalation point for complex issues raised by the team and drive to a successful conclusion.
  • Identify opportunities for automation and process improvement through expertise, and assist the team with prioritisation of the backlog.
  • Lead on budget/forecasting for these capabilities and for the Enterprise Software managed by ITAM.
  • Collaborate with Senior Stakeholders to drive adoption of these Enterprise Service Management capabilities across the organisation.
  • As a Data Driven Leader, build insights to support decision-making and effectively communicate these in the Monthly Technology Review (MTR)
  • Collaborate with and influence colleagues and teams outside of your direct control, to ensure IT asset management policies are adhered to.
  • Provide leadership oversight for audit activity within these capability areas.

  • You have 10+ years of experience in the ITIL Domains of CMDB and ITAM
  • You are experienced in building automation and processes to support these ITIL Domains and how they fit into the ecosystem of processes.
  • You can effectively build a team and drive engagement.
  • You can manage senior stakeholders and drive adoption of the services.
  • You can orchestrate the maturity of multiple capabilities and represent them in senior leadership meetings.
  • You are experienced in building data insights and can effectively use Dashboard tooling.

Why Deliveroo

Our mission is to transform the way you shop and eat, bringing the neighbourhood to your door by connecting consumers, restaurants, shops and riders. We are transforming the way the world eats and shops by making access to food and products more convenient and enjoyable. We give people the opportunity to buy what they want, as they want it, when and where they want it.

We are a technology-driven company at the forefront of the most rapidly expanding industry in the world. We are still a small team, making a very large impact, looking to answer some of the most interesting questions out there. We move fast, value autonomy and ownership, and we are always looking for new ideas.

Workplace & Benefits

At Deliveroo we know that people are the heart of the business and we prioritise their welfare. At Deliveroo, we believe a great workplace is one that represents the world we live in and how beautifully diverse it can be. That means we have no judgement when it comes to any one of the things that make you who you are - your gender, race, sexuality, religion or a secret aversion to coriander. All you need is a passion for (most) food and a desire to be part of one of the fastest-growing businesses in a rapidly growing industry.

We are committed to diversity, equity and inclusion in all aspects of our hiring process. We recognise that some candidates may require adjustments to apply for a position or fairly participate in the interview process. If you require any adjustments, please don't hesitate to let us know.
