Role Summary:
Join Deliveroo as a Salesforce Technical Lead and help support our rapid growth. As part of the Partner Lifecycle team, you will lead change projects on the Salesforce platform. Reporting to an Engineering Manager, you will collaborate closely with global partners to develop and deploy business-critical solutions. We are looking for someone with a background in Salesforce and software engineering. You will lead a team of 3-5 developers, establish a technical vision, make important decisions, and ensure quality work. Passion for delivering complex features in collaboration with cross-functional teams are essential.
Responsibilities:
- Technical Leadership: Provide technical leadership and guidance to design, develop, and deploy solutions on Salesforce. Mentor and oversee the team, promoting peer design reviews. Establish a technical vision and roadmap aligned with business objectives and industry best practices. Define the architectural landscape, including Salesforce integration with other systems.
- Solution Design: Collaborate with stakeholders in Sales, Service, Marketing, and Product Management to gather and understand business requirements. Translate requirements into effective and scalable technical solutions using Salesforce platform knowledge. Contribute to the design and architecture of Salesforce applications, ensuring they meet business needs while respecting system integrity and performance.
- Development and Deployment: Guide the team in implementing Salesforce solutions, customizations, and integrations. Review code, provide technical guidance, and ensure efficient and high-quality development work. Coordinate with other technology teams, manage dependencies, and support successful solution deployment. Lead projects end-to-end, taking ownership of planning milestones, timelines, stakeholder communication, and testing. Participate in the on-call rotation of engineers to maintain service availability.
- Technical Excellence: Establish coding standards, best practices, and quality assurance processes. Conduct code reviews, optimise performance, and troubleshoot complex issues. Keep up to date with the latest Salesforce features, releases, and industry trends.
Requirements:
- 10+ years of experience as a Salesforce Technical Lead, delivering successful Salesforce projects.
- Extensive knowledge and expertise in Salesforce development, configuration, and customization (Apex, Visualforce, Lightning, etc.).
- Strong understanding of software engineering principles, design patterns, and best practices.
- Experience leading and managing a team of Salesforce developers, providing technical guidance, mentoring, and support.
- Proficiency in integrating Salesforce with other systems and applications using REST and SOAP APIs.
- Ability to analyse complex business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Salesforce certifications such as Salesforce Certified Platform Developer, Salesforce Certified Administrator, or Salesforce Certified Technical Architect are highly desirable.
